HOUSING
Egerton PC is not a landlord for housing but has worked with Ashford Borough Council (ABC) and other organisations to help identify local social housing needs and suitable housing sites. The latest development has just started in Egerton Forstal by English Rural Housing. Eight new homes will be available next year for local people who meet the criteria for Egerton residency AND meet the criteria for ABC's Housing register. Other social/affordable housing is provided by Sanctuary Housing in Harmer's Way, and Council housing is in Elm Close, New Road, Crockenhill and Forstal Villas. Anyone wishing to be considered for any of the properties must be registered with ABC at the outset. Call 01233 330 688 and also view the link here for details. ABC's guidance note is at egertonpc/UserFiles/file/ABC%20Lettings%20policy(1).pdf In the case of Sanctuary Housing in Harmer's Way and the new Forstal Road homes, additional Egerton residency criteria must also be met.
The Contact for letting the new homes in Forstal Road - to be called "Chantlers Meadow" is Steven Bland, Housing Services Administrator, English Rural Housing Association, Hall House,
